The Green Club
The purpose of the Green Club is to give students an opportunity to participate in environmentally friendly activities that will enhance Lawton High School’s environmental impact.
The Green Club will meet on Fridays, twice per month during Achievement in Mrs. Cross’s room.
Students have asked to also meet occasionally on a weekend, or after school for special events, or field trips. During the Friday meetings students volunteer to gather the paper recycling from classrooms, check the bottle return bins, and then bring the recyclables to the large bins outside. We also will have guest speakers, care for the newly planted garden, and tend the brand-new compost bins.
The Green Club will also promote the existing recycling program during lunches.
Green Club is sponsored by Laura Cross and Diana Michalski
Future Meeting Dates:
The Green Club will start up again in the Fall of 2018. All students are welcome to join our club, regardless of other commitments, or activities that you currently attend. We are looking for volunteers to help water the garden over the summer, please see Mrs. Cross to sign-up for a spot!
See future calendar dates below for special events.
If you have any questions or would like to sign up for any volunteer opportunities, please contact Mrs. Laura Cross at firstname.lastname@example.org or 269-624-7853
