December 10, 2018

Lunch:   Honey Beef Dippers, Breadstick, Carrots and Dip, Mixed Fruit, Salad Bar, Milk.

Breakfast:  12/11  Banana Nut Muffin, String Cheese, Fresh Apple Slices, Juice.

The yearbook class is looking for any pictures from semi-formal.  If you have some you'd like to share, please see Mrs. Maury, or email them to her at lmaury@lawtoncs.org

There is a Follow Your Dream Scholarship available in the Guidance Office. This is a LOCAL scholarship available to all!

All 10th graders will be traveling to the Tech Center on Thursday, Dec 13 at 8:00 - 10:15 to visit various programs.

On another note, SADD wants to remind you to spread a little holiday cheer this season by donating your gently used clothing (especially coats, boots, and other warm items), books, and toys to "Project Giving Back."  Bring your items to your achievement teacher and perhaps your achievement will win hot cocoa and cookies for December 19th.  

Semi Academy in Lawton has openings for upcoming December Seg 2 class. Class dates are Dec 18, 19, 20 from 6pm to 8pm.  Cost is $50.  Call or stop in Semi Academy in Lawton on M-40 Highway.

NHS Members Looking for Community Service:  The middle school is having a lock in and Mr. Kuhlman is looking for volunteers to help out.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Munro.

College Visits:

The Navy will be here tomorrow, December 11 and the National Guard will be in on Friday, December 14th.

Sports:

Shout out to the varsity competitive cheer team for an outstanding meet on Saturday.  They currently hold the number one score for round 3 in the state of Michigan.  Way to go ladies!

Breakfast:  12/13  Sausage/Egg/Cheese on a Bagel, Fresh Fruit, Juice.

Attention Students:   No more food of any kind is to be eaten in the library and no more gum.  I keep finding gum ground into the carpet and I am constantly picking up gum wrappers and candy wrappers and chip bags, etc., so only water only from now on.  I would appreciate your cooperation with this.  Thank you, Mrs. Rogers

It’s time to get into the Holiday Spirit! Next week will feature dress-up days to get us ready for the happiest season of all. The days will be as follows and of course... everything must be school appropriate: 

  • Monday: CHRISTMAS pajama day (no sweatpants) 
  • Tuesday: Red Day - Wear your red from head to toe 
  • Wednesday: Green Day - Wear your green from head to toe 
  • Thursday: Christmas Character Day - Reindeer, Santa’s, and elves are all welcome 
  • Friday: Ugly Christmas Sweater Day - There will be winners for the ugliest Christmas sweater of them all!
