Lunch:  Boneless BBQ Chicken Wing, Breadstick, Fries Green Beans, Pineapple and Orange Wedges, Salad Bar, Milk.

Breakfast:  1/14  Apple Cinnamon Muffin, String Cheese, Fresh Fruit, Juice.

Students who are interested in a part time job for the summer working as a Census Taker please see Mrs. Munro.  You must be 18 by May 2020. 

Drama Tech and Backstage crew will begin meeting on Monday, January 13th from 3-5. If you have questions, see Miss P. 

Anyone interested in signing up for esports club or would like to learn more information please attend an informational meeting on Monday at 4:00PM in the computer room that's connected to the library."

This week is Snowcoming! Here is the dress up days for the week:

  • Wednesday: Yeehaw Day 
  • Thursday: Disney Day 
  • Friday: Blue and Gold Day

Homecoming Dance will be held January 18th from 8-11pm at Lawton High School.  Cost of the dance is $5. You must sign up and pay no later than Thursday Jan. 16th.  Tickets will only be sold in the high school office. Any guests from other schools need to be approved by Ms. Wilson. Forms for outside guests are in the office.

It's time for the MOCK ROCK! This year's mock rock will take place on Friday, January 17th.

  • There will be no more than one team per grade level.
  • Teams and music must be submitted AND approved to the advisor no later than Monday, January 13th. 
    • It is imperative that the music is selected and submitted by this date to ensure that it can be included in the performance. 
    • NO MUSIC CHANGES CAN HAPPEN AFTER THIS DATE!!!! 
  • Music cannot exceed 4 minutes. 

The Lawton "Follow Your Dreams" Scholarship is available in the Guidance Office. This is open to all students and is not associated with college. See Mrs. Powell or Mrs. Munro for more information.

Sports:

Attention to any boys interested in playing baseball this spring, there will be a meeting on Tuesday Jan 14 in Mr. Warkentien's room during achievement. 

Any girls interested in playing soccer this spring, please come to the office and sign up.

Attention students interested in powerlifting please sign up outside of Mr. Schmidt's classroom. Competition dates are posting on the Michigan High School Powerlifting Association website.

Juniors and Seniors:  There is an after prom bash survey you need to complete that is in your email!! Please make sure to read the descriptions carefully when completing the survey.  

Attention Drama - Tech Rehearsals and Backstage for the week are cancelled. Report on Monday to keep working. 

Students: Please have your vote for King and Queen in no later than the end of the day on Thursday (2:50). The ballots have been sent to your school e-mail.

Congratulations to Landyn VanWyk on being selected the WSJM Student Athlete of the Week. Way to go Landyn!!

Last night the varsity competitive cheer team achieved record scores in rounds 1 and 2 improving their state ranking.  They won their second of four conference meets.  Way to go girls!
