There will be a National Art Honor Society Meeting during achievement on Wednesday, January 24th in the Art Room. Attendance is mandatory!
Incentive Day is coming soon!! For this trimester's Incentive Day we will be tracking grades and office referrals. Students who have a 69.45% or higher grade in all of their classes by February 9 will be able to participate in Incentive Day. If any of your grades are below the stated percentage, you will not be able to participate in Incentive Day and will be assigned to the work room during that time. If your grade is on the bubble now you have a few weeks to get them up so that you can participate in this fun day.
The Van Buren County Association of School Boards scholarship is now available in the Guidance Department. The scholarship is valued at $500.00 and must be in the Superintendent’s Office by March 15, 2018. Come into the Guidance Office for further information.
The Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel scholarship application is now available. Applications must be received on or before April 1, 2018. The scholarship is valued at $1,000.00. Come into the Guidance Office for further information.
The Midwest Energy & Communications scholarship is now available in the Guidance Office. High school seniors must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and whose families receive electric, propane or internet services from MEC at their primary residence are eligible to apply. The scholarship is valued at $1,000.00 and the deadline is March 19, 2018.
The Lawyers here at Groth & Associates are proud to offer a generous $1,000.00 scholarship for any individuals who qualify. To qualify for this scholarship:
- Must have a G.P.A. of 3.0+
- Fill out the form with your contact information
- Attach school transcript to verify enrollment or submit any document to help us know you are currently enrolled or have been accepted to a college or university in the United States.
- Attach a 500-word essay about difficulties or hardships you have had to personally overcome

Powerlifters planning to lift at the first regional meet of the season this Saturday need to get forms and entry fee money to Coach Nycum by Wednesday. Weigh-ins, declaring opening lifts, and an informational meeting will take place after school Wednesday in the weight room...everyone going needs to attend.
Attention Track Athletes - there will be a quick meeting on Wednesday (January 24) in Coach Meyer's classroom (across from Mrs. Carr's room) to talk about the upcoming season, workouts, etc. Looking forward to see you all on Wednesday!!!
Any students interested in riding the ski bus to ski club this week, please sign up in the office. The ski bus will leave the high school teacher parking lot at 4:15 and will return at 9:00 p.m.
All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest. The local competition will be held Sunday January 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Paw Paw High School gym. With registration from: 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Ages 9 thru 11 year old boys and girls will shoot from 12ft free throw line. 12 thru 14 year old boys and girls will shoot from the 15ft free throw line.
- Trophies and certificates will be awarded.
- Winners will compete in district levels in February.
- A PARENT OR GUARDIANS SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED ON THE APPLICATION!
- There will be applications at the contest site.
