Lawton Elementary Incentive Days:
As part of our school wide positive behavioral intervention and support system (PBIS), we host an incentive day at the end of each trimester. These are fun day activities designed to celebrate students who make the right choices all trimester and have received zero referrals. In past years, we have had students attend K Wings hockey games, hosted school wide game days, taken students to watch a movie, and held track and field day events. Since our kindergarten students are new, we give them an opportunity to “work off” one referral during the first trimester. Kindergarten teachers help guide those students with that process. If you are a kindergarten parent and have questions on this, please contact your child’s teacher. We are excited to announce that our first trimester incentive day will be to attend a K Wings hockey game. Due to the timing of this event, this first incentive day will take place a few weeks prior to the end of the trimester. We have communicated with students both at school wide assemblies as well as within each classroom how incentive days work. We encourage students to continue to work hard in making right choices and thank you for your partnership with this.
