Congratulations to our Educational Hero Award Winners!
Our first winner is Amanda Stienke. Amanda is an amazing part of our educational team at LHS and the district. While she serves in the role of Secretary for Guidance / Athletics, her impact on our students, school, and district go far beyond her role. She is incredibly committed and caring, and if our students are doing something outside of the school day, it is a pretty safe bet that Amanda will be there. Going above and beyond seems to be just what she does.
Our second winner is Laura Prior. Laura is a 1st grade teacher at Lawton Elementary and in her 36th year as a teacher. While her years of service are award worthy enough, it is how she goes about her role that is equally as inspiring. She continues to strive for improvement and her growth mindset influences those around her. She continues to be someone that colleagues, students, and families rely on for her calm, caring, and thoughtful approach.
